donald patton加州大学戴维斯分校经济学博士毕业，现任加州大学戴维斯分校human and community development中心的首席研究员。主要研究领域是：创业活动的测量、大学与创业、硅谷的创新与资本、创业支持网络的区域集中性、技术密集型创业的资本流动性、从创业到ipo。学术成果发表在r&d management，economic geography，research policy，journal of industrial and business economics，journal of economic geography，venture capital等期刊上。
